- Filed case guidance: review the Dallas County criminal court case records route or ask the Circuit Clerk
- Personal statewide criminal history: ALEA State Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Justice Information Services Division, using the fingerprint-based Application to Review Alabama Criminal History Record Information
- Police or incident report: ask the law-enforcement agency that created the report
- Expungement petition: file a qualifying matter in Circuit Court using the current Alabama court form
